HOWRAH:
HOWRAH is a band known for their intricate, interwoven and often dissonant guitar patterns, repetitive grooves and melancholic vocals. Their recent, third album ‘Ends and Means’ received critical acclaim as the most coherent and robust recording yet, without losing a trademark edge.

Crashing: 

Crashing, het nieuw gevormde muzikale project van multi-instrumentalist Jasper Smits, begon oorspronkelijk als uitlaatklep om nieuw solo materiaal mee uit te brengen. Met duidelijke invloeden uit wilde late 80s shoegaze en alt-rock acts als Dinosaur Jr. en My Bloody Valentine creëert hij een uniek en divers palet aan geluiden met een mix van hedendaagse genres en soundscapes. Terwijl het oorspronkelijk als “one-man project” begon, is Crashing flexibel en constant groeiend dankzij samenwerkingen en invloeden uit alle hoeken van het muzikale landschap. “Het leukste aan een band op deze wat lossere manier runnen, is dat het eigenlijk alles kan zijn of worden wat ik wil. Het is bevrijdend om de grenzen op te zoeken van hoe een traditionele band of diens line-up er uit zou moeten zien in het moderne landschap.”

SCOLASTICS: 

Born in 2024, SCOLASTICS is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist Louis Inghels, who dived in on his mission statement to create music that is equally pounding, straightforward and eclectic. Together with local heavy weights Guus van Oosterum and Niels Klooster, Haarlem’s newest power trio produces a unique mix of rock and metal with the emphasis on powerful vocals, contagious riffs and groove. Elements of Hüsker Dü, Killing Joke and Kyuss can be heard in their repertoire, but SCOLASTICS is no throwback act. Armed with an upcoming debut EP, the band will put their eyes on the Dutch scene with Western Europe in sight. SCOLASTICS is a band on the rise, ready to share themselves with the world.
